Overview

El castillo de Barbazul was performed for the first time in the grand Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires Argentina in 2022.

El castillo de Barbazul is a masterpiece of expressionism, extremely modern in its scenic approach and its strongly psychological symbolism. This new production will have a projected scenography to trap the audience in the oppressive atmosphere of this thriller of nuptials and crimes, which are set to Bartók's fascinating score.
