UTOPIA is an immersive, energetic experience integrating live music, projection mapping and lights created as a thesis project of the MFA performance program at Yale University by Yaara Bar and a team of designers.

During the performance, the DJ created a soundtrack inspired by nature, as an electric guitarist improvised on top of the beats. The lights and projection mapping reacted to the harmony and rhythm created by the musicians.

As the night progresses, the audience got slowly surrounded by an ancient and futuristic forest, in a journey that moves past the intellectual and into the spiritual.

UTOPIA allows us to re-imagine a future, in which technology will no longer isolate us, but will be used to create an immersive energetic experience that will reconnect us with each other through music, light and moving bodies.
